Mentors

Your dedicated online mentor will be your advocate and guide from enrollment to graduation.

At Michigan International Prep School, we believe students are most likely to succeed if they can count on a dedicated mentor for one-on-one guidance, support, and affirmation throughout their academic journey. Our MIPS mentors are committed to seeing your student succeed in their online curriculum and in life, and will act as a bridge between your family and the resources and supports your student needs. During your time at MIPS, we want both you and your student to feel completely supported and encouraged each step of the way.

What does a mentor do?

We help you plan for a successful future.

At MIPS, we believe education should be tailored to the specific talents and goals of each student. At the start of your time at MIPS, your mentor will help you design a personalized plan (or Educational Development Plan, or “EDP”) that will serve as a roadmap for your student’s academic success. We work hard to make sure that each EDP is customized to the unique needs, abilities, and future goals of each individual student.

We offer dedicated, one-on-one support.

Our students are self-directed, but their never alone. Your dedicated online mentor will be your go-to support throughout your MIPS career, and will help you stay on pace. You’ll keep in consistent contact with your mentor, with at least one two-way connection per week. Whether you need academic tutoring, guidance counseling, or just a listening ear, your mentor will always be a text, email, or call away. We love to hear from you, so don’t hesitate to reach out for help!

Your MIPS Mentor will help you identify your talents, set goals, and build confidence.

We believe that students are most successful when they are affirmed in their abilities by people they respect. Our mentors help students to identify their unique talents, build confidence over time, and articulate clear future goals to work towards.
