The Michigan International Prep School of the Arts is a developing arts division of MIPS that provides students with exclusive training and experience in the creative arts. Students receive professional instruction in music (guitar, voice, and piano), fine arts, or theatre.

Beginning this fall, every MIPS students in grades K-5 will select 2 subject areas from our brand new Elementary Creative Arts program (art, music, or theatre), and will produce a digital portfolio at the end of the year showcasing their creative progress.

Early Middle College

earn free college credit in high school through cleary university.

The Early Middle College program allows students to stay in high school for an additional 13th year to earn up to 60 Credits, an Associates Degree, Professional Certificate, or a MEMCA Certificate.

During the 11th and 12th grade years, students take a split load, with some courses through MIPS, and some through our college partner. This helps students to ease into college gradually, while also allowing them to gain college credit.

Real Estate Pre-Licensure

Complete all 40 hours of prerequisite course material for a michigan real estate license.

This Pathway allows students ages 17.5+ to begin working towards their Real Estate license in the state of Michigan, at no cost. Complete all 40 hours of prerequisite course work, and prepare for the state licensure examination.

This is a remarkable opportunity for young people who are interested in real estate. You could graduate high school fully prepared to enter the market as a licensed professional.

Greater Michigan Construction Academy

Prepare for a career in the construction trades.

Through this Pathway, high school juniors and seniors are able to receive hands-on training in construction trades like electrical, HVAC, plumbing, pipefitting, and more. These courses are NCCER-certified, and are taught by experienced industry professionals.

The trades offer a host of fantastic opportunities to young people. Our partnership with Greater Michigan Construction Academy can give you an enormous head start in your journey towards a successful career in the trades.

EARN FREE COLLEGE CREDIT IN HIGH SCHOOL FROM accredited colleges and universities.

This pathway allows high school students to begin acquiring college credit while still in high school. We offer dual enrollment in partnership with colleges and universities all across the state.

This is a tremendous opportunity for high school students to get a massive jumpstart on their college education.

Enhanced
Dual enrollment - cleary university

earn free college credit in high school through cleary university.

The Cleary Enhanced Dual Enrollment Pathway allows students to take Free college classes in high school. Students who begin in 9th grade can even earn an associate's degree by the time they graduate from high school.

The average cost of a year of college in 2019-2020 was $30,500. That's an astronomical cost that many graduates will carry with them for years to come. The Cleary Enhanced Dual Enrollment Pathway is a chance for students to earn college credit from a fully-accredited private university at no cost. (We'll even buy your books for you!)

Earn a certificate in Computer Science while in high school, setting the stage for a successful career in technology.

The computer science job market is growing faster than other industries, with roles for Software Developers growing 22% a year (that’s nearly 3x the national average.) This program through Adrian College was designed in collaboration with Google, and the curriculum is discussion and project-based, so you graduate with a portfolio that hiring managers love.

This pathway allows high school juniors to begin acquiring free college credit, ultimately staying on at MIPS for a "13th" year of 100% free college credit from Cleary University. Graduates from the Cleary Early Middle College pathway leave MIPS with a high school diploma and an associates degree from Cleary University.

Mice cybersecurity & computer science

get real-world cybersecurity experience and prepare for industry-standard certifications.

The Michigan Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (MICE) is a pathway for students who are interested in getting practical, real-world training for a career in cybersecurity.

The cybersecurity industry is growing at a breathtaking rate of 11.9% every year, and is projected to be a $258.99 billion market by 2025. Why? Cybercrime is growing just as fast. The annual cost of cybercrime globally is projected to reach $5 trillion in the next few years. And that means cybersecurity professionals are in high demand.

The MICE pathway offers online courses like PC Repair, Ethical Hacking, and IT Fundamentals. MICE works with TestOut, a certification company, to prepare students for real-world, industry-standard IT and cybersecurity certification exams.
