Position Description

Reimagine Education, LLC is seeking an innovative Marketing Support Specialist who will play a critical role in the Michigan International Prep School. This position will aid in putting together events for the School District, scouting and booking locations, conducting press outreach, lining up sponsors, and securing food and drinks for events. Additionally, this position will assist in the design and dissemination of digital and written communications, including advertisements, social media content, website content, mass communications, etc. Member of the Marketing Team. This position will report directly to the Director of Family Engagement, Marketing and Legislative Advocacy.

Qualifications

● Bachelors or Associates degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred.
● Minimum 2 years experience in the marketing and communications field. Ability to handle multiple tasks as once in an effective manner
● Works well with a team
● Very strong customer service skills
● Maintain a positive “can do” attitude
● Has strong communication skills, both verbal and written
● Be a self-starter and an independent thinker. (this position will require the applicant to be able to make and implement decisions without direction)
● Technological skills (Chrome, Google, and etc.). Must be able to adapt to new technology rapidly
● Is poised, punctual and enthusiastic
● Is exceptionally organized and self-motivated, able to manage complex tasks and assignments
● Is able to work within a budget and to creatively get the most out of limited resources
● Has attention to detail, and a desire to do things well
● Can manage stressful situations and respond quickly and creatively to meet needs
● Has strong "people skills" and is able to coordinate volunteers and others to get things done to meet a deadline advertising documents for marketing purposes
● Website design and maintenance skills

Essential Duties

●A thorough knowledge of all MIPS program offerings, systems, partnerships, and practices.
● Work alongside the Enrollment team to nurture potential students and families speaking to program specific questions.
● Focus on promoting and recruiting students for Early Middle College and Boys And Girls Clubs Pathways.
● Assists with the planning and implementation of admission events, and selected major school events which include the following: Field trips, Graduation, Music and Art events at the Hives, Organizing in-person marketing events, BBQ’s, Charity events, and Social Media posts daily.
● Helps to select and secure facilities, purchases materials and food, designs and assembles gift bags, and ensures proper set up for major events.
● Keeps track of expenses and accurate records of an expense and works within a budget established by administration.
● Leads and implements planning, set up, clean up, and hosting of major school events.
● Helps to secure facilities, plan programs, choose menus, organize gift bags, etc.
● Assist with Coordinating event participants and help to organize all event logistics.
● Work to implement community outreach.
● Work to plan a program for guests involving students, parents, and school leaders.
● Host event and coordinate involvement of various participants.
● Provide organizational and logistical assistance for additional school events as needed and able, which may include: Admissions Events, Back to School Night, Count Day Events, Spirit Week, and Graduation.
● New Enrollment family follow up calls and service
● Carry out other duties and obligations as assigned to facilitate the School’s mission, goals, standards, and Education Program
● Help to contribute to the development of website content
● Perform market research, strategizing with other marketing professionals and creating content to aid in the success of marketing campaigns.
● Help with the design of graphics for use in advertising and other promotional materials.
● Contribute to the creation of MIPS newsletters for distribution (both to staff as well as students and families).
● Post MIPS-related information on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, etc. at least weekly.
● Manage the digital marketing calendar. Track digital marketing performance.
● Helps design printed and digital marketing materials.
● Help to develop Learning Lab signs and graphics.
● Other duties as assigned by the Director of Family Engagement, Marketing, and Legislative Advocacy.

● Employee must honor written Board Policies and Administrative Regulations
● Employee must be able to stand for a minimum of 30 minutes at a time
● Employee must be able to lift 25lbs
● Employee must be able to sit in chair for long intervals
