Position Description

Reimagine Education, LLC is seeking an innovative District Assessment Coordinator who will play a critical role in the Michigan International Prep School. This position has primary responsibilities of coordinating state testing as needed (as described in Essential Duties). This position will report directly to the Superintendent.

Qualifications

● Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with JX Endorsement preferred
● Minimum 5 years piano teaching experience of students at the beginning to advanced level

Essential Duties

● State Assessment Coordinator
● Primary in BAA -
● Assigning/verifying students in BAA
● Identifying what tests students have taken in BAA and assigning correct, missing tests
● Ensuring off-site testing requests submitted
● Determining testing sites based upon age and location for students.
● Responsible for all Assessment communications - internal (staff) and external (students and families. - Via Powerschool Document Delivery System)
● Creating rooms, assigning staff and students in Test Day Toolkit
● End of year reporting, accountability information, students that did not test, etc.
● WIDA testing coordinator
● NWEA Administrator
● All testing accommodations (IEP/504) with special education support
● Facilitating and Coordinating assessment training (Internal and externally with vendors)
● Work with technology to ensure all testing is set up and accessible for staff and students; assigning appropriate technology to various test sites and students.
● Carry out other duties and obligations that are determined to facilitate the school’s mission, goals, standards, and Education Program
● Employee must honor written Board Policies and Administrative Regulations
● Employee must be able to stand for a minimum of 30 minutes at a time
● Employee must be able to lift 25lbs
● Employee must be able to sit in chair for long interval
● Holds knowledge of the full extent of our testing obligations, and leverages the capacity of our people and spaces to meet those obligations
● Stays current on weekly updates from MDE regarding assessments and accountability
● Reconciles current, local student count data with student count data on record with the state
● Orders testing materials for all exams
● Completes many and varied reports and maintains documentation of all reporting done before, during and after testing (Feb-May)
● Creates a schedule of proctors/locations for all standard-time testers
● Creates a schedule of proctors/locations to ensure the individual needs of each accommodated tester is met
● Trains proctors for both standard and accommodated testing, and ensures they know the specific requirements and equipment for the tests they supervise
● Creates testing communication documents for all students/families
● Communicates with all 504 students and families in grades 8-11 to verify testing accommodations, and requests College Board approval for those accommodations on their behalf
● Communicates with SSD coordinator to verify testing accommodations, and ensures requests are made for College Board approval for those accommodations
● Maintains documentation of all communication with various assessment-governing bodies
● Manages secure materials
● Maintains security and chain of custody of all secure materials
● Inventories materials received
● Sorts materials for test rooms
● Collects used materials and organizes return shipment
● Prints, organizes, stores, and distributes test tickets
● Schedules all make up testing for both standard and accommodated
● Ensures all rooms are set up and equipped for test days, including any ancillary materials needed to provide accommodations
